My name is Sylvia Meenke. I warmly welcome you to my homepage.
The wonderful breed “Hovawart” has been with me since 1993 and has crept deep into my heart.
I founded the Hovawart breed “vom Schmollensee” in 1996 with my parent bitch, Andra vom Ammerland. The namesake of my kennel is the Schmollensee, our „house lake“ in Benz on the Isle of Usedom. We are located in the very Northern East of Germany, next to the Baltic Sea and the border to Poland. Andra gave us three wonderful litters. From the C-litter, Cora vom Schmollensee stayed with us. With her we raised four great, typey litters.
For personal reasons I had to stop breeding for some years, since in 2017, Frannie from House of Lincoln joined me and my eight-year-old Enya (Elvira von den Nornen). At the age of only two years, she met all requirements for becoming a bitch in the Hovawartzuchtgemeinschaft Deutschland e.V. (HZD). Frannie is a very balanced, sporty, friendly and uncomplicated bitch. I was looking forward to continue the Hovawart breed “vom Schmollensee” with her. In March 2020 we achieved this goal with the H-litter. The father of the 11 puppies is the Hungarian male „Pilisi-Hajnal Alfa„, called Bruno.
In my opinion it is most important to breed vital, typey, strong-boned dogs with a high stimulus threshold, which are suitable for families, but also have the demanding characteristics of the working dog breed.
What should you bring with you for these court guards, who prefer to live with you as a family member and who are happy to accompany you everywhere? Patience, loving consistency – and a little humor doesn’t hurt either, because the Hovawart is good for a surprise, quite often.

Je m’appelle Sylvia Meenke et je vous souhaite la bienvenue sur ma page d’accueil.
La merveilleuse race des Hovawarts est entrée dans mon cœur et m’accompagne depuis 1993.
En 1996, Avec ma chienne fondatrice, Andra vom Ammerland, j’ai crée l’affixe vom Schmollensee en référence au lac éponyme situé à Benz sur l’ile d’Usedom.
Andra nous a donné trois merveilleuses portées. De la portée C, Cora vom Schmollensee est restée avec nous, avec elle nous avons fait quatre grandes portées.
Après quelques années de pause dans l’élevage pour des raisons personnelles, Frannie From House of Lincoln a emménagé avec moi et ma fille Enya (Elvira von den Nornen), alors âgée de huit ans, en 2017.
Frannie n’avait que 2 ans mais remplissait toutes les conditions pour être une chienne reproductrice. C’est une chienne très équilibrée, sportive, amicale et pas compliquée. En mars 2020 Frannie est devenue maman d’une belle portée de 11 chiots dont le père est le mâle hongrois „Pilisi-Hajnal Alfa„, appelé Bruno. Je me réjouis de poursuivre avec elle l’élevage Hovawart « vom Schmollensee »
J’attache une importance particulière aux chiens vigoureux, typés, avec une ossature forte et dotés d’un seuil de stimulation élevé, qui conviennent aux familles, mais qui ont aussi les caractéristiques exigeantes de la race des chiens de travail.
Que devez-vous apporter à ces chiens « gardiens de cour » (traduction littérale de hovawart)
Qui préfèrent vivre avec vous dans un environnement familial et qui vous accompagneront volontiers partout ? : De la Patience, de l’affection – et un peu d’humour ne fait pas de mal non plus – car le Hovawart aime nous surprendre.

Cudowna rasa Hovawart jest ze mną od 1993 roku i wkradła się głęboko do mojego serca.
Założyłam rasę Hovawart ze Schmollensee w 1996 roku z moją suką, Andrą vom Ammerland. Nazwa mojej hodowli to Schmollensee, czyli nasze „jezioro domowe” w Benz na wyspie Uznam. Andra dała nam trzy wspaniałe mioty. Z miotu C została z nami Cora vom Schmollensee, z którą wychowaliśmy cztery wspaniałe, typowe mioty.
Po kilku latach po przerwie od hodowli z powodów osobistych, w 2017 roku Frannie From House of Lincoln zamieszkała ze mną i moją ośmioletnią Enyą (Elvira von den Nornen). W wieku zaledwie dwóch lat spełniła wszystkie wymagania jak na suczkę. Frannie to bardzo zrównoważona, wysportowana, sympatyczna i nieskomplikowana suka. Nie mogę się doczekać kontynuacji z nią rasy Hovawartów ze Schmollensee. W marcu 2020 roku udało się to osiągnąć w miocie H. Ojcem 11 szczeniąt jest węgierski pies „Pilisi-Hajnal Alfa„, o imieniu Bruno.
Szczególną wagę przywiązuję do witalnych, typowych, mocnych kościstych psów z wysokim progiem bodźca, które są odpowiednie dla rodzin, ale mają też wymagające cechy rasy użytkowej.
Jakie cechy powinieneś mieć przy psie z rasy Hovawart, który będzie mieszkać z Tobą jako członek rodziny i który chętnie będzie Ci towarzyszyć? Cierpliwość, pełną miłości konsekwencję – i odrobina humoru też nie zaszkodzi, bo Hovawart często jest dobry na niespodziankę.

A csodálatos hovawart fajtával, melyet mélyen a szívembe zártam, 1993 óta foglalkozom.
A vom Schmollensee kennelt 1996-ban alapítottam Andra vom Ammerland tenyész-szukámmal. Kennelem névadója a Schmollensee, a „házi tó” Benzben, Usedom szigetén. Kelet-Németország legészakibb részén vagyunk találhatóak, közel a Balti tengerhez és a lengyel határhoz.
Andra három csodálatos almot adott nekünk. A C alomból Cora vom Schmollensee nálunk maradt, vele négy gyönyörű típusos almot neveltünk.
Személyes okokból néhány év után a tenyésztést felfüggesztettem, majd 2017-ben Frannie from House of Lincoln költözött hozzám és nyolcéves Enyámhoz (Elvira von den Nornen).
Frannie mindössze kétéves korára teljesítette a Hovawartzuchtgemeinschaft Deutschland (HZD) szukákra vonatkozó összes követelményét. Nagyon kiegyensúlyozott, sportos, barátságos és komplikációmentes szuka. Boldog vagyok, hogy a vom Schmollensee kennelben a hovawart tenyésztést vele folytathatom. 2020 márciusában megszületett a H alom. A 11 kölyök apja a magyar tenyészkan Pilisi-Hajnal Alfa (Bruno).
Különös jelentőséget tulajdonítok az életerős, típusos, erős csontú, magas ingerküszöbű kutyák tenyésztésének, melyek alkalmasak családi kutyának, ugyanakkor rendelkeznek a munkakutya fajtánál megkövetelt jellemzőkkel is.
Mire van szüksége, ha ezt az „udvar őrzőjeként” is emlegetett fajtát választja, akik szívesen élnek velünk családtagként, boldogan kísérnek minket mindenhova? Türelem, szeretetteljes következetesség – és egy kis humor sem árt, mert a hovawart gyakran tud meglepetést okozni.
